Wow! What a fantastic 8 Weeks and “Thank you” to each one of you for your participation
You have given me the opportunity to work with a group of wonderful people that are passionate about their health. I know this was a hard journey, but the first step (which is usually the worst) is already over with and your journey to optimal health has begun. You have committed to making a positive change in your life and health. I know it is not easy; many have confided in me that it was easier to stop smoking after 30 years than change their eating and exercise habits. In life, it has been said that nothing worth having comes easy. The fact is, we are creatures of habit and bad habits often slip into seniority in the decision making process, if we are not carefully monitoring.
I also want you to know that nobody is perfect ALL the time. What is important is that you are on the good more than the bad habit side. You see, everyday is a new challenge for you because your old habits are constantly trying to make you weak. Following the path of least resistance is nature’s way. You might say “Then how can I ever win the race with this little monkey on my back always tempting me?” Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? The tortoise won in the end because, Slow and Steady Wins the Race! No, I don’t mean “going slow” on the cardio. :) I mean consistently making the effort to slowly change your habits and making steady progress everyday. Each new day is an opportunity to make another positive step forward. Some other things that really help are finding your motivation and clearly setting your goal. You may also need accountability and a coach.
Keep Moving Forward!
